"It's good to hear that Edinburgh's best-kept orchestral/spooky
hiphop secret hasn't let the acclaim for his first album, Texture
Freak, seduce him into repeating the formula. He's been working
with Mogwai and it shows: a lot of the tracks are murky, wilful and
very played with (although they still groove). Hyperactive scratching
from DJ Extra adds another layer to the midrange melee of voice
loops and Hitchcock strings. It's not tidy and it's all the better for
